‘Going Heavy’ is the latest single Molly Payton has shared in support of her upcoming EP, Porcupine. She explains that the five-track EP is “about making mistakes within love and friendships and learning from them. The EP is like a time capsule from that time of my life and it's full of nostalgia”. This track focuses on the recklessness of youth, and captures it through a twisting vocal melody, and a strangely perfect mixture of instrumental parts: wobbly and grungy guitars bounce off of each other in equal measure, while the drum kit’s ride cymbal maintains a subtle delicacy beneath the otherwise punky energy.
